On the occasion of the New Year 2025 and the traditional Lunar New Year – Year of the Snake, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Xuan Thang, Member of the Politburo, President of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics, and Chairman of the Central Council on Theoretical Studies, has sent a New Year’s Greeting Letter to all generations of public officials, students, and trainees of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics (HCMA).

Dear Generations of Public Officials, Students, and Trainees of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics,
Spring is once again arriving on our beloved homeland. In the joyful atmosphere of welcoming the Lunar New Year 2025 – Year of the Snake, on behalf of the HCMA Party Committee and the HCMA Board of Directors, I would like to extend my warmest greetings and best wishes to all HCMA leaders, former leaders, officials, and the entire student and trainee community across all generations.
The Year of the Dragon – 2024 has passed, building upon the achievements of previous years, fostering internal unity, and strengthening comprehensive system management. Under the leadership and direction of the HCMA Party Committee and the Board of Directors, all HCMA public officials have demonstrated proactiveness, dedication, and creativity in all activities, achieving remarkable milestones. We successfully celebrated the 75th anniversary of the HCMA’s proud tradition, implemented the HCMA’s Development Strategy to 2030, with a Vision to 2045, and enforced Decision No. 214-QĐ/TW, issued by the Politburo on December 28, 2024, regarding the functions, tasks, and organizational structure of HCMA, replacing Decision No. 145-QĐ/TW from August 8, 2018. In 2024, HCMA organized numerous training and knowledge update programs for strategic-level officials, including senior leaders and managers. A notable highlight was a thematic discussion led by General Secretary and State President To Lam on “A New Era of Development – The Era of Viet Nam’s Rise.” HCMA also hosted major scientific conferences and forums, which had a strong impact, broad influence, and long-term effectiveness. We conducted multiple research programs and scientific projects, providing policy reports and recommendations to the Party and the State of Viet Nam. Furthermore, significant efforts were made in curriculum development, updating teaching materials for training and professional development. Other notable achievements in 2024 include: Successfully organizing the Fourth Writing Contest on Protecting Party’s Ideological Foundation; Implementing comprehensive reforms in organizational and personnel management; Effectively carrying out Regulation No. 11-QĐ/TW of the Secretariat on standardized political schools; Enhancing the quality of international cooperation across the HCMA system; Modernizing infrastructure to support academic and administrative operations; Innovating leadership and governance approaches within the HCMA Party Committee and the Board of Directors.
Entering the Year 2025, in the spirit of celebrating the 95th anniversary of the founding of the glorious Communist Party of Viet Nam, and as the nation accelerates efforts to achieve the objectives set by the 13th National Party Congress while preparing for the 14th National Party Congress, HCMA remains committed to upholding its 75-year legacy as the Party School named after President Ho Chi Minh. With the guiding motto: “Solidarity – Discipline – Exemplary Leadership – Breakthrough – Development,” all public officials, students, and trainees within the HCMA system will focus on implementing the following key priorities: Effectively restructuring and organizing the HCMA’s apparatus in accordance with Decision No. 214-QĐ/TW of the Politburo; Successfully executing the action plan based on the directives of General Secretary To Lam at the 75th-anniversary celebration of HCMA; Continuously improving, expanding, and innovating training and professional development programs; Updating, supplementing, and developing new curricula in line with the draft documents for the 14th National Party Congress; Successfully completing the National-Level Special Scientific and Technological Program KX 02/21-25, and preparing for the implementation of Program KX 02/26-30; Enhancing the quality of policy recommendations submitted to the Party and the State; Organizing the Fifth Writing Contest on Protecting Party’s Ideological Foundation at a high standard; Continuing personnel and organizational reforms to improve efficiency; Strengthening the implementation of Regulation No. 11-QĐ/TW on political schools; Effectively executing projects approved by the Prime Minister; Enhancing the quality of Party and mass organization activities in this new phase of the HCMA’s development; Building a unified, transparent, and strong Party Committee and HCMA collective, striving for outstanding achievements in celebration of the 15th HCMA Party Congress.
With pride in our heroic nation, our glorious Party, and our great President Ho Cho Minh; with a strong aspiration for renewal and development; and with high determination, great effort, unity, and decisive action, we firmly believe that in 2025, HCMA will continue to grow strongly, achieve new victories, and move forward alongside the nation into a new era of development—the era of Viet Nam’s rise.
