On January 23, 2025, at APAG Headquarters in Ha Noi, the Academy of Public Administration and Governance held a ceremony to announce and present appointment decisions issued by the President of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics (HCMA) for leadership and management positions within APAG.

The ceremony was attended by HCMA representatives: Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hoang Anh, Member of the Standing Committee of the HCMA Party Committee, Director General of the Organization and Personnel Department; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Hau, Deputy Chief of HCMA Office. From APAG, there were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Ba Chien, Party Secretary cum APAG President; Vice Presidents Dr. Nguyen Dang Que; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Luong Thanh Cuong; Prof. Dr. Nguyen Quoc Suu; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Thanh Giang; Dr. Bui Phuong Dinh; Members of the APAG Party Executive Committee; representatives from APAG departments and units; and representatives of the APAG mass organizations.

The appointments were made as part of the implementation of Decision No. 214-QĐ/TW dated December 28, 2024, issued by the Politburo, which defines the functions, tasks, and organizational structure of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics. Following an intensive process of personnel adjustment and appointment in strict compliance with the regulations of the Party and the State of Viet Nam, on January 22, 2025, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Xuan Thang, Member of the Politburo and HCMA President, signed the appointment decisions for 17 public officials to assume positions as leaders of faculties, departments, and units within the Academy of Administration and Public Governance.

Under the authorization of the HCMA President, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Luong Thanh Cuong, Deputy Party Secretary and APAG Vice President, announced 17 appointment decisions for leadership and management positions.

The newly appointed leaders of APAG faculties, departments, and units include:

  • Dr. Nguyen Huy Hoang – Director of the Organization and Personnel Department;
  • Dr. Le Thanh Huyen – Director of the Higher Education Management Department;
  • Dr. Nguyen Thu Thuy – Acting Director of the Planning and Finance Department;
  • Ms. Pham Thi Quynh Hoa – Acting Director of the Research Management and International Cooperation Department;
  • Ms. Nguyen Thi Phong Lan – Acting Chief of Office;
  • Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thi Hong Hai – Dean of the Faculty of Administration Sciences;
  • Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hoang Mai – Dean of the Faculty of Human Resource Management;
  • Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thi Thu Van – Dean of the Faculty of Archival Sciences and Office Management;
  • Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dang Khac Anh – Dean of the Faculty of Social Development Management;

  • Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Hoang Hien – Director of the APAG Campus in Quang Nam Province.

On behalf of the APAG Party Committee and the Board of Directors, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Ba Chien extended congratulations to the 17 newly appointed officials. He also expressed gratitude to the HCMA Party Committee and the HCMA Board of Directors for their support in swiftly consolidating the APAG leadership and organizational structure. He encouraged the newly appointed officials to foster unity, remain dedicated to their work, and demonstrate high determination, competence, and expertise to successfully fulfill their assigned responsibilities. He expressed confidence that they would continue to excel in their roles, contributing to the APAG’s growth and meeting its evolving mission and objectives.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thi Hong Hai, Dean of the Faculty of Administration Sciences, expressed her deep honor at being entrusted by the HCMA leadership with a leadership position. She also extended her gratitude to the Party Committee and the Board of Directors of both the former National Academy of Public Administration and the newly restructured Academy of Administration and Public Governance for providing an environment that has supported their professional growth and development. Acknowledging the significant challenges ahead, she emphasized that each appointee must strive diligently to fulfill their responsibilities and contribute to the APAG’s continuous progress. She reaffirmed her commitment, along with her colleagues, to working closely with faculty and staff to enhance the APAG’s mission. She also expressed her hope for continued support and guidance from the HCMA leadership, the Party Committee, and the APAG Board of Directors to enable the newly appointed officials to succeed in their roles.
