On January 9, 2025, at NAPA Headquarters in Ha Noi, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Luong Thanh Cuong, Vice President of the Academy of Public Administration and Governance (APAG), received a delegation from the Convergence Institute for Multicultural Studies (CIMS) of INHA Univerrsity led by Prof. Youngsoon Kim, Director of CIMS.

Welcoming the experts from INHA University, South Korea, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Luong Thanh Cuong introduced the renaming of the National Academy of Public Administration (NAPA) to the Academy of Public Administration and Governance (APAG), a unit directly under the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics (HCMA). He also covered several key areas of collaboration and future cooperation between the two institutions, including: (1) Changes in APAG’s mission and tasks: Discussion on the updated mission and tasks of APAG in light of recent changes; (2) Extension of the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU): Renewal and extension of the cooperation agreement between CIMS and APAG; (3) Plans for future cooperation: Joint efforts in organizing academic seminars, academic exchanges, and mutual support for building a public governance program; (4) Short-term training programs: Plans for sending APAG staff to INHA University for short-term training aimed at professional development and expertise enhancement.

Prof. Youngsoon Kim acknowledged new political mission and recognized the importance of reinforcing the bilateral collaboration in this new context. He is confident that, with over 15 years of mutual respect and cooperation, the partnership will continue to strengthen, achieving even more effective and successful results in the future. With INHA’s extensive experience in public governance training, the institution is ready and eager to assist APAG in developing new training programs and course frameworks. He wished APAG success in completing its new training infrastructure and completing its organizational structure.
