On December 14, 2024, at NAPA Headquarters in Ha Noi, the National Academy of Public Administration (NAPA) held the closing ceremony of the leadership training program for public leaders of provincial Departments of Home Affairs and Departments of Personnel and Organization from central ministries and agencies. The course combined domestic study with research and training in Singapore.
H.E. Mr. Truong Hai Long, Vice Minister of Home Affairs, and Prof. Dr. Nguyen Quoc Suu, NAPA Vice President, co-chaired the closing ceremony.
The closing ceremony featured the participation of Ms. Nguyen Xuan Dung, Deputy Director General of the Department of Civil Servants and Public Employees, MoHA; Prof. Dr. Nguyen Huu Khien, former NAPA Vice President; Ms. Pham Thi Quynh Hoa, Director of the NAPA Department of International Cooperation; staff from the NAPA Department of International Cooperation, along with course participants including Directors and Deputy Directors of the Provincial Departments of Home Affairs and Departments of Personnel and Organization of central ministries and agencies.
The leadership training program for public leaders of provincial Departments of Home Affairs and Departments of Personnel and Organization from central ministries and agencies was held from November 19, 2024, to November 30, 2024, and consisted of two segments: Domestic Component: Conducted in Viet Nam from November 19, 2024, to November 25, 2024; Overseas Component: Conducted in Singapore from November 26, 2024, to November 30, 2024.
The course modules were delivered by a team of professors, doctors from NAPA, and senior leaders from government agencies. Participants were exposed to a combination of theoretical knowledge and diverse practical experiences.
The summary report highlighted the efforts of all participants, who overcame challenges, showed enthusiasm for learning, managed their time effectively, and fully engaged with the course’s modules and content. They strictly adhered to rules and regulations, demonstrated a positive learning attitude, actively studied materials, and supported each other throughout the training program.
The course’s success was not only due to the dedication of the participants but also thanks to the attention and support of NAPA’s leadership, the diligent service of its staff, and the enthusiasm of experienced lecturers. These instructors provided systematic and up-to-date knowledge using innovative teaching methods that facilitated participants’ comprehension and application of concepts in practice.
In his remarks, Vice Minister of Home Affairs Truong Hai Long congratulated the participants on their achievements during the course. He emphasized the MoHA’s commitment to supporting leadership and civil servants while commending NAPA’s organizing committee and its leadership training program for provincial department-level leaders and managers. He expressed his confidence that this course would serve as a foundation for future training programs.
Speaking at the ceremony, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Quoc Suu, on behalf of NAPA, thanked the Ministry of Home Affairs’ leadership for their guidance and support in developing the training program in collaboration with the Chandler Institute of Governance in Singapore. He encouraged participants to remain proactive in their continued learning and professional development to enhance their state management expertise and achieve common goals in their respective organizations.
On behalf of the class, course participant Nguyen Cao Cuong, Director of the Department of Home Affairs of Ha Giang Province, expressed heartfelt gratitude and appreciation to NAPA’s leadership and instructors for their support and dedication, which enabled the participants to successfully complete the course. He shared that the knowledge and skills acquired during the training would serve as valuable tools for participants to continue striving for excellence, refining their competencies, and contributing to the overall development of their organizations and agencies.
