As part of the Training plan 2024, on June 10, 2024, at the NAPA Main Hall, the National Academy of Public Administration (NAPA) held the Opening Ceremony of the Training course for senior officials, Cohort 13/2024.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Ba Chien, NAPA President, delivered remarks at the ceremony.
The opening ceremony was attended by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Hau, Chief of Office of NAPA; Dr. Bui Huy Tung, Director, Department of Refresher Training Management; Ms. Le Phuong Thuy, Deputy Director, Department of Refresher Training Management; Mr. Tran Quang Hung, Head, Division of Management of Civil Service Rank and Job-based Training, Department of Refresher Training Management, and course participants.
In his remarks, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Ba Chien, NAPA President, affirmed the important role of training public officials, including the training program for senior officials. The training program for senior officials was issued by the Minister of Home Affairs according to Decision No. 422/QĐ-BNV dated June 2, 2022. This program helps trainees supplement and enhance their knowledge of state and law, national governance, and state management; develops for senior officials certain skills to effectively and efficiently perform the assigned tasks and powers; improves political qualities, a sense of responsibility, service attitude, initiative, and creativity in performing assigned tasks.
To achieve the objectives and requirements of the course, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Ba Chien urged the trainees to strictly comply with regulations, focus on studying, proactively research, actively exchange and discuss to clarify issues according to the program content and practical leadership and management issues related to their work. Trainees need to plan and allocate their time reasonably to participate and ensure the successful completion of the course.

Participants in the training course will study 27 topics and six thematic reports. The training course includes practical research activities and requires the completion of two tests and one project paper.
